Call for Papers

Self/Nonself - Immune Recognition and Signaling is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes novel peer-reviewed findings in all areas of immunology ranging from molecular and structural immunology to immune imaging and therapy.

Priority is given to work that provides fundamental insight into the workings of the immune system with a particular emphasis on the mechanisms underlying immune recognition and transmembrane signal transduction at the molecular, cell and functional level. Major criteria for acceptance are quality, originality, significance, clarity and conciseness. The journal places its highest priority on fair, rapid review and speedy publication.

Descriptions of new reagents, approaches, research techniques or clinical case reports usually are appropriate only to the extent they provide innovative insight into unresolved problems or represent major breakthroughs.

All manuscripts are sent for in-depth peer review, however, the Editorial Board will consider reviewer reports from submissions to leading journals such as Nature, Science and Cell for accelerated review. The editors undertake to provide a decision on all manuscripts 30 days following submission.
