To facilitate research on, and discussion of, this topic we decided to devote a special issue of Autophagy to the topic of mitophagy. This issue will include Research Papers/Brief Reports, Puncta, Reviews, Protocols and/or Commentaries. For more information, see our call for papers [PDF].
In the recently published 'Artophagosome' piece by Dr. Dan Klionsky and Dr. Nobuo Munakata, "Autophagy suite: Atg9 cycling in the cytoplasm to vacuole targeting pathway", the authors put several autophagy proteins into musical notes.

In August, 2008, Autophagy launched a 'Reagent Forum' - in a blog format - which you may read about here.
Recently, we expanded the forum to allow for the posting of questions (pertaining to autophagy) by researchers or to allow PIs to post open positions.
